The One Tool

In the world of Web 2.0 and cloud software, things have really become easy. There are lots of great tools. Among them are Evernote, Google Docs, Trello, Asana and more.

But one of the greatest tools out there is Wunderlist.

Of course it syncs all your devices and looks good on any platform. However, the reason I like it so much is its simplicity. It is just a simple todo list.

You create tasks and organize them in lists. That is the basic concept. But then there are the other featers, which are subtle but awesome. You can add notes to the tasks, due dates, reminders and so on. Star the most important tasks and get a priority list, which includes tasks from any other list. Use hashtags to add further information and categories.

Wunderlist is nice and easy to use. Simple but with endless features. And its free.

This is why its The One Tool for me.

Most Important Action

So, I trade stocks and options and make some good money with it. To be successful, there are some import actions involved. Like checking the news and sentiment in the morning, checking the charts, look out for interesting companies or commodities, improve your skills and so on…

But I think there is really one thing you should do every day, preferably in the morning. This is the most important action and the key to success:

Hunt for great investment and trading opportunities.

What exactly do I mean with this? Find some possibilities you can invest your money in. Take your time and find them. Every day. Compare them and decide where to put your money at.

How do you find them? Probably you have a selection of favorite stocks and securities, so start with them. Then look out for new companies you haven’t known. Or take a look at familiar ones which got interesting again. Find some exciting charts, where the price broke through some barrier. Analyze some commodities or exchange rates. Check out the news, articles, blogs or forums.

Be a hunter

There are endless possibilities each day. You just have to find them and decide which are good enough. Do not invest your hard earned money in every possibility. Compare them and only choose the best ones.

The important thing about this action is not the trading itself, but to look out and find new trading opportunities.

The interval of your buying and selling lies in your hands, but seek out for new chances as often as possible. Be a hunter. Find your prey. Study it. And if it looks good, go for it!

How to start my day

I like to get up early… not. But it is a good thing. As soon as I get my self going it is great to be up early. And with some routines the day starts even better.

So what are the ingredients for a good start?

Stop using the snooze button! It is silly, it doesn’t make anything better but only worse. Get up as the alarm rings. Think of something nice and start moving. Do some stretches, pushups, jumping jacks, whatever.

Not only your body has to wake up. Start your brain! Write down some goals for the day. Read something inspiring or listen to a podcast.

Get some coffee! Is there anybody who doesn’t like coffee? It’s good. Get one! Oh, and eat something healthy. Fruits, eggs, yogurt, …

That’s basically it. Go out and breath the fresh air. No matter if the sun is shining or rain is pouring down. It’s the first day of the rest of your life! Enjoy it and make the best out of it.
